MERLIEN will hold the 1st International Seminar on Computer-Aided Qualitative Research on the 10 & 11 June, 2008 in Amsterdam. This unique, cross-disciplinary seminar will bring together qualitative researchers, practitioners and PhD students to discuss the key issues concerning the use of CAQDAS tools and how to integrate them successfully with research methodologies.
In depth research presentations and highly interactive masterclasses on CAQDAS tools will provide valuable insights that will help enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of qualitative data analysis.
KEY OBJECTIVES
>To help participants develop a deeper understanding on the use of CAQDAS tools and how they are used to improve qualitative data analysis.
>To raise conceptual awareness and skill development through the use of CAQDAS tools.
>To create and develop continuing supportive research networks
PRESENTATIONS
After registration, participants will be invited to submit a one-page abstract for a presentation (optional). The proposed presentation should address how you have conducted qualitative data analysis through the use of CAQDAS tools. What are the benefits and pitfalls of using CAQDAS tools? How your peers from other fields of research can benefit from your experience?
INTERNATIONAL EXPERTS
To enhance the quality of this seminar, experts in qualitative research and CAQDAS tools will be invited to evaluate the presentations of the speakers. They will provide speakers with constructive feedback and impartial suggestions for further improvement.
